The Columbus 7A Basketball Team swept their two-game jamboree, Saturday, at the Central School Round Top Gym.The Titans had nearly identical scores in their 3214 win over New Heights Christian Academy and 3314 win over Northeast-Arma.

It has been a rough start to 2025 for the Columbus Titans as they have suffered back-to-back losses in their first games of the new year. Monday, they lost to the Girard Trojans, 41-66, in a weather delayed, CNC League match up in Girard.

Forfeits costly for Lady Titan Wrestlers

The Columbus Lady Titan Wrestling Team hit the mats for the first time in 2025 with a dual in Pittsburg. The Lady Purple Dragons collected four forfeits, 24 points, from open slots on the Columbus roster and just three wins in actual matches to earn the 39-23 dual win.

The Columbus Titans placed fifth out of 15 teams with nine wrestlers earning 100.5 team points at the 57th Annual Augusta Invitational Wrestling Tournament, Saturday, in Augusta.Rose Hill took first place with 289 points earned by 15 wrestlers.

Columbus Wrestling was back on the mats following their Christmas Break, taking a dual win at Pittsburg High School, Thursday. The Titans earned five wins to four on the mats and Columbus took three wins by forfeit to two for the Purple Dragons to win the dual, 47-36.
