Antique tractors and farm equipment will be on display during the Columbus Day Festival. Many of the owners also drive their pieces in the parade. There will also be a Tractor Pull Saturday afternoon October 10. Sunday, October 11 there is a Mini Rod and Garden Tractor Pull planned. Both are set to take place at the Saddle Club Arena.
Often during the Columbus Day Parade, at least one of the balloon pilots will demonstrate how it is possible to cook hot dogs in the burner. This seems to be a crowd favorite. This year’s parade is planned to start at 9:40 a.m. October 10.
Thanks to the Connecting Point Church, Columbus Future Farmers of America Chapter and Maple UnCommon Guest House and Gallery, the Columbus Day Festival will once again have a Children’s Corner on the Southwest corner of the square in the intersection of Pennsylvania and Pine.
A lot of things are planned for the kids during the day, along with farm animals to pet.
