A cold, rainy day produced four gold medals for the Columbus Junior High School Track and Field Team in Frontenac, April 18. The eighth grade boys placed fourth in team standings with Cole Howard taking first place in the 100 meter and the 400 meter dashes and Kash Smith winning the discus.

Members of the Columbus High School Track and Field Team traveled to Mound City, for a meet at Jayhawk-Linn High School, Monday. Faith Williams, freshman, took second in the pole vault.

The St. Mary’s-Colgan Panthers swept into Columbus on Senior Night and took a pair of CNC League games from the Titans, 7-2 and 10-2, Monday, at Bomber Field.

The Columbus Unified High School Golf Team placed third in the Columbus Invitational Tournament, Tuesday, at the Brush Creek Golf Course. Junior, Kanyen Smith, led the Titans with a score card total of 85 for the 18hole course and a fourth place individual medal.

A 30-0, Diamond, Mo. team came to Columbus and knocked off the Lady Titan Softball Team, 4-1, with a three-run, home run, in the top of the fifth inning to remain undefeated, Tuesday, at Rockette Field in the Community Field Ball Park.

The Columbus Lady Titans started early and held off the St. Mary’s-Colgan Lady Panthers, 5-2, in game one of the Senior Night, CNC League double header at Rockette Field in Columbus, Monday. Following the recognition of six seniors, Columbus came back out to sweep game two, 14-3.

The Titan Baseball Team traveled to Lamar, Mo. for their lone game of the week, suffering a loss in the bi-state matchup, 3-7.
