Shopping local for your Christmas gifts? Don’t know what to give? Just a reminder that you can give Columbus Gift Certificates year round. The gift certificates are available for purchase in any amount and can be used only at Chamber member businesses – retail or service (over 100 locations).

Information needed for visitor guides

Have you or your organizations set dates for your large events for 2023? After setting the dates for 2023, you need to advise the Chamber office, in order to have it listed in the 2023 Calendar of Events/ Visitors Guide brochure.

Christmas celebration rapidly approaching

The Christmas Celebration committee and members of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce have announced plans for the annual Christmas Celebration. The Christmas Celebration will be Wednesday evening, November 30. Santa has been contacted and he plans to be in the parade, which will begin at 7 p.m.

October was dry month for Columbus Museum

Good news. We went the entire month of October with no floods in the ladies’ restroom. The handicap stool works fine so far. We didn’t have to drag out any blankets, nor towels and my bathing suit is back in the drawer.

Southeast inducts six into NHS chapter

National Honor Society inductions were held Monday, November 7 at Southeast High School. Six students to the SHS National Honor Society (NHS) Chapter.

Each Tuesday morning

Each Tuesday morning at the Lowell Friends Church members of the Linus organization make weighted blankets for special needs children in schools, special education organizations and for residents in rest homes.

Gospel concert at Columbus Christian Center

Blaine and Christine Bowman will be in concert Sunday November 20 at the Columbus Christian Center located on Merle Evans Drive. Services will begin at 10 a.m. with a time of fellowship.
