Help Sue Cook celebrate her 90th birthday Sunday, August 23 with a card shower.Cook was born in Cherokee County to Harvey and Millie Wilcox. She has also lived in Wichita, Oklahoma and Shreveport, La., following her husband, Bob’s job at Boeing. They moved back to Columbus after Bob retired.

Columbus plans sidewalk repairs

A plan for annual sidewalk maintenance and repair was approved by the Columbus City Council Monday evening following little discussion.The plan calls for nearly 75 yards of new concrete sidewalk construction; the majority being built along Maple Street.
