Jose Rodrigo Rodriguez, 45, was arrested Thursday by Baxter Springs Police officers on charges of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and was released on $1,095 bail. David Alan Justice, 55, was arrested Wednesday by another jurisdiction on charges of aggravated indecent liberties with a child; cause child to fondle, two counts of promoting obscenity to minors, aggravated indecent liberties with a child; fondling a child over 14 but under 16, indecent solicitation of a child; sex act over 14 and under 16 and was released on $25,000 bail.

The Columbus Junior High School hosted the Columbus Invitational Track and Field Meet, Monday, at the Central School Track. Graci Zook, Lady Titan Seventh Grader, placed first in the High Jump with a personal best of four feet four inches, and Elaina Garcia placed fourth with a height of four feet, two inches.

Titans busy start to track season

The Titan Track Team has been busy on the track and in the field with four meets under their belts this season. Freshman, Levi Simpson, placed first in the 800 Meter Run and the 1600 Meter Run at Frontenac, April 4. He placed third in the 1600M in the first meet at Galena in March and has consistently placed with a third and fourth place finish at Riverton the 800 Meter Run and the 1600 Meter Run respectively, Tuesday.
