  • Senior, Ruby Stover was crowned the 2024 Columbus Unified High School Fall Homecoming Queen in a coronation ceremony prior to the Titans, 62-30, homecoming game win over Baxter Springs, Friday, at Titan Stadium. Ruby was escorted by senior, Jonah Smith.

    The 55th annual Columbus Day Festival and the 34th year of the Balloon Regatta will kick-off Friday evening with the annual bean feed.It was the bean feed that started it all in 1968 when the Distributive Class wanted to do something to celebrate the towns namesake.In 1968 they did not know what a despicable fellow Christopher Columbus was going to become in the 21st century....
