A car vs. deer accident occurred April 17 at approximately 8:27 p.m. A 2019 Ford Expedition driven by Colton Moates, 17, Baxter Springs, was traveling south on Southeast Highway 69A. Moates struck a deer in the roadway near Southeast US Highway 400. Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated.
