Christmas cards fade from popularity over last century

  • The Columbus VFW Auxiliary donated toys to the Columbus Fire Department Shop with a fireman campaign. Firefighter Juston Grafel accepted the toys for the Columbus Fire Department. Peggy Britt president of the VFW Auxiliary gave the toys to the Fire Department because they were no longer have their kids Christmas Party. Jim Oberbeck Commander of the Columbus VFW Post attended the exchange.

    Over the past century one traditions has certainly diminished in popularity, that being the exchanging of Christmas Cards. Not only did people exchange cards they kept them as memorable possessions. The Columbus Museum has several of those collections, which go back to hand made cards to the expensive cards of today.
