The Kansas Wildlife and Parks Commission held its first public meeting of 2022 last week, discussing topics including the addition of refuge space at the Cherokee Lowlands Wildlife Area.
A donation of 690 acres of Cherokee County land near Southwest Beasley Road and the Neosho River was made by the Kansas Nature Conservancy to the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Tourism.
