  • Just after 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, emergency personnel were dispatched to the area of 5 Mile Avenue and Highway 166, east of Baxter Springs. The preliminary investigation indicates a 2016 Chevy Equinox driven by Shirley Eiland pulled out in front of a 2016 Ford F-150 driven by Bradley Harris, when the two vehicles collided. Both Eiland and Harris were transported by Cherokee County Emergency Medical Services to Joplin Hospitals for non-life threatening injuries. Courtesy photo.
