Local scouts get Bronze Award

  • A reception for Dr. Sarah Garner Maxton was held recently (May 25) at the Baxter Springs Community Center. This has been quite a journey for the “high distinction” Liberty University graduate. All this while her daughter, Eva, was battling Ewing Sarcoma Cancer. Sarah was wearing her graduation robes with scholar accoutrements and her 4.0 Grade Point Average medal.

    The Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland recognize Jaeclynn Fleshman, Karah Crozier, and Eleanor Holt of Columbus, Raygen Spoonemore of Weir, Kaydence Lassiter of Crestline, and Lilly Linam of Joplin, Mo. as members of the 2025 Girl Scout Bronze Award class.These Girl Scouts earned the highest award for Junior Girl Scouts, the Bronze Award.
