Susan Schultz and her grandchildren Landin Oheme and Rylee Oheme handed out Christmas cards to those picking up Thanksgiving baskets Tuesday. Columbus High School Students conducted a food drive November 15 to November 19, collecting over 1,600 items for the baskets. Other churches, businesses and organizations provided some of the items. 165 area families received a basket.

Speedy deliveries and holiday cheer were on full display Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, in Columbus as Thanksgiving basket deliveries were on their way to local families for the holiday.
With a staggering 1,600 donations plus hours of volunteer work, a smooth delivery system was set up at the church and the deliveries were completed in just over an hour.
