A declining membership and interest in the Veterans organizations across the nation has forced the Weir American Legion to close.
The building has been sold and the clubs materials have been moved to the Weir Civic Center.
“We just could not keep going,” said Larry Spahn. “The Weir American Legion Post was founded chartered on the first day of October, 1920.”
