The Grand opening of American Bank was a huge success as dozens of people attended the ribbon cutting. Bank employees and officers were on hand for the event. The Chamber of Commerce presented the bank with a plaque. Attending the opening were Lindsey Morris, G. Lynn Mitchelson, Mandy Hudson, Taylor Hight, Jim Gaither, Andy Bingham, Bob Sell and Crystal Alford.

Mid America Pipe is the only steel pipe manufacturers that is family owned in the United States. Senator Roger Marshall M.D. toured the facility with Mid-America Pipe owner John Parsons and his sons John Jr. and Nik who are both an integral part of the company as well.
