Senior, Emily Welch, was crowned CUHS 2022 Winter Homecoming Queen, Thursday, between the Lady Titan and Titan basketball games with Colgan. Welch was escorted by Titan Senior Wrestler, Trenton Smith. Welch qualified for the Kansas Class 4-1A State Girls Wrestling Tournament, Saturday in Chanute.

Titan girls win regional, eight to state tourney

The Columbus Lady Titan Wrestling Team qualified eight wrestlers for the Kansas Class 4-1A State Championship and brought home the Kansas Class 4-1A Regional B Title at Chanute, Saturday. In addition, Head Coach Marcus Bowman was named the Kansas Class 4-3-2-1A Coach of the Year.

When you are in Kindergarten learning to count to 100 is a big deal. Last week the students of Lincoln Elementary in Baxter Springs celebrated their 100th Day of School. During the festivities they stacked cups and played games practicing their counting skills.
