Senior, Emily Welch

Senior, Emily Welch, was crowned CUHS 2022 Winter Homecoming Queen, Thursday, between the Lady Titan and Titan basketball games with Colgan. Welch was escorted by Titan Senior Wrestler, Trenton Smith. Welch qualified for the Kansas Class 4-1A State Girls Wrestling Tournament, Saturday in Chanute.

Mild temperatures made

Mild temperatures made for a slightly more pleasant Polar Plunge. Members of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department team raised over $2,000 this year.

State board okays CUHS launch plan

The Kansas State Board of Education approved nine schools in seven districts - including Columbus Unified High School- to launch their Kansans Can School Redesign Project plans during the 2021-2022 school year.

Titan girls win regional, eight to state tourney

The Columbus Lady Titan Wrestling Team qualified eight wrestlers for the Kansas Class 4-1A State Championship and brought home the Kansas Class 4-1A Regional B Title at Chanute, Saturday. In addition, Head Coach Marcus Bowman was named the Kansas Class 4-3-2-1A Coach of the Year.
