Sweet, sweeping melodies took over the sanctuary of Spring River Assembly of God in Riverton on January 21. Nearly a dozen of the area’s most passionate and talented members of the Keenagers Chorus met at the church for their weekly rehearsal last Friday.

The newest information from the Columbus Utilities Department was made public by Utilities Director Scott Bennett during the January 18 City Council meeting. Bennett approached the group with a presentation that displayed all of the progress the team made in 2021.

Southwestern College in Winfield has announced the Dean’s Honor Roll for the fall 2021 semester. Trey White from Baxter Springs was named to the list. Full-time students who earned grade point averages of at least 3.70 (4.0 equals an A) were eligible for the honor.
