The Chamber is taken aback when someone asks how much time is devoted to “marketing.” Every single thing the Chamber of Commerce does is marketing. When our members talk to other members at our activities and events or volunteer their services on a committee, that’s marketing.

‘Fire Up for Fireworks’ begins on March 11

The Chamber of Commerce will hold “Fire Up for Fireworks” cookout fundraiser for the annual Fourth of July Fireworks, as a drive through March 11. The event has been coordinated with the Columbus Police Department and with the City of Columbus.

What does the Chamber have to offer?

The Columbus Chamber of Commerce is an organization of businessmen, women, organizations and individuals who have joined together to accomplish collectively what they could not individually.

Area Accident Report

A car vs. deer accident occurred February 3 at approximately 6:59 a.m. A 2008 Ford F150 driven by David Gravett, 30, Oswego, was traveling north on Wallace Road. Gravett struck a deer that came out of the ditch approximately one-half mile south of 19000 Road.

Healthy kids snacks

Mom, can I have a snack?”, “I’m hungry”, “Dad, can I have some candy? I want candy!” These are sentences I heard this weekend from my own child. It seems he always wants a snack! Although his snacks of choice are gummy bears and chocolate, those are NOT the best choices, no matter what he tells me.
