Lady Titan Junior, Taryn Billings, took down Girard’s Karlyn Fisher by fall, 1:21, in a dual at Girard, Thursday. Taryn and the Lady Titans beat the Lady Trojans, 42-18, in their first dual of the season.
Titan Senior, Cade Saporito, has the upper hand on his Frontenac opponent, Jomar Pero, getting a win by fall in the double dual at Girard, Thursday. Frontenac outlasted the Titans, 46-34, in team scoring, but Columbus knocked off their hosts, 42-30. Cade beat Bryce Reece by fall in the Girard dual.
The Columbus Lady Titan Wrestling Team swept into the Bentonville West Tournament, Friday, and came away with a championship out of the four-state and 13-team event.
Columbus scored 292 points with 14 lady wrestlers to win the title over Springdale, Ark. With 256.5 points from 14 wrestlers. Springdale Har-Ber, Ark. Placed third with 16 wrestlers earning 246 team points.
