Walter William Schulze, 58 of Parsons, died at his home at 1:23 a.m. Sunday, October 1, 2023 following an illness.
Born in Neosho, Mo., March 30, 1965, Walter was the son of Walter Rubben Schulze and Shirley Gray.
They preceded him in death.
Walter was also preceded in death by one infant sister, Wanda Schulze; and one brother-in-law, Bob Schoenhofer He attended school in Parsons and was a lifetime resident of the area.
Walter had worked in customer service at Ace Hardware Store in the plumbing department and also spent several years working at Beechner Grain. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and singing, including recording his own country music album in 1992 titled “Welcome Back to Yesterday”.
Walter was married to Teresa Hallett Schulze. They later divorced. He married Colleen in 2001. She survives. In addition to his wife, Walter is survived by two sons, Derek Schulze of Parsons and Rodney Schulze (wife, Ashley) of Cleveland, Okla.; daughter, Trista Tavernaro of Scammon; five sisters, Patty Sharp (husband, John) of Parsons, Carol Hernandez (husband, Tommy) of Hutchison, Sheila Smith of Parsons, Sharol Schoenhofer of Walnut and Bobbie Schulze of Parsons; and 15 grandchildren.
