The Lady Titan Wrestlers received recognition and picked up awards during the annual Titan Booster Club’s Sports Awards Ceremony, May 5 at Titan Stadium. Team members for the Lady Titan 2020-21 season are: Sophie Lloyd, freshman; Brooklyn Lima, freshman; Addison Saporito, sophomore; Jailyn Rodriguez, sophomore; Emily Welch, junior; Madelyn Garcia, freshman; Lizzy Welch, freshman; Destiny Lima, junior; and Dixee Lacen, senior.
Lady Titan Senior, Dixee Lacen, and junior, Emily Welch, earned Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association’s All-Academic First Team honors for junior and senior wrestlers carrying a 3.5 or better Grade Point Average.
Addison Saporito, Lady Titan Sophomore, collected team awards for most takedowns (39), most pins (24) and Outstanding Wrestler at the Annual Titan Booster Club Awards Ceremony, May 5 at Titan Stadium. Freshman, Brooklyn Lima was named Most Improved and senior, Dixee Lacen was chosen Most Inspirational.
The Lady Titan Wrestling Team had a very productive 2020-21 season with three of the nine team members qualifying for state in the Covid-19 altered post-season.
