St Mary’s-Colgan needed three sets to win the Kansas Class 2A Sub-State Championship over the number one seed, Sedan, 23-25; 25-8; 25-4, Saturday in Pittsburg.
Coming into the tournament at the number three seed with a 23-14 record, the Lady Panthers beat the Southeast Lady Lancers, 8-22, number six, in two sets, 25-13; 25-12 in the opening round.
