Ann Gertrude Everett, 89, of Scammon, died October 28, 2023, at her home. Ann was born July 5, 1934, to Joe and Gertrude (Pargen) Grant in Scammon. She attended grade school in Scammon. She graduated from Columbus High School in Columbus.
Ann and William Warren Everett were united in marriage December 3, 1985, in Omaha, Neb. Ann Worked at Columbus State Bank for 25 years She was a member of the St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in Scammon.
Ann is survived by two sisters, Betty Jansen of Scammon and Sister. Mary Josetta Grant of Clyde, Mo.; and several cousins, Mary Guinn (husband, Terry) of Joplin, Mo, Josetta Bayless (husband, Bill) of Carthage, Mo., , Harold Willard (wife, Roxanne) of Reeds, Mo., Julie Brixey (husband, Jack) of El Paso, Texas, Melinda Dever (husband, Dewayne) and Johna Dixon all of Houston, Texas Ann was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers James Joseph Grant and Father Mario Gramlich.
A parish rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 4, at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in Scammon, followed by a Mass of Christian burial with Father Jeremy Huser and Father Chrysostom Au Maung as concelebrants. Burial will follow in the St. Bridget’s Cemetery in Scammon. The family suggest memorials to the St. Bridget’s Building fund. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary.
