Carl Raymond Young, 70, passed away Friday, November 24, 2023 at his Galena home.
Carl was born February 19, 1953 in Joplin, Missouri the son of Billy Eugene and Betty Jane (Stripling) Young. He was a lifetime resident of Galena.
He last worked in shipping and delivery at Gahagan Paper Company, Joplin,.
Carl enjoyed everything outdoors including fishing and camping. His favorite pastime was watching western movies.
Surviving is one son, Dalton Eugene Young, Galena, one brother, Melvin Young, Joplin, and one grandchild on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Sheila Boydston and two brothers, Wayne Dunn and Marion Young.
Carl was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena. The family plans to have a Celebration of Life at a later date
