Estell Eugene Tunnell, 73, Joplin, Mo., died Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
Born August 30, 1950, in Miami, Okla., Estell was the son of Emmitt “Gene” and Lillie (Edwards) Tunnell. He was a 1968 graduate of Baxter Springs High School. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1970 and returned home in 1974.
