Everett “Butch” Franklin McBride, Jr., 72, Quapaw, Okla. died Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Joplin Health and Rehabilitation Center in Joplin, Mo.

Born November 12, 1951, in Miami, Okla., Butch was the son of Everett F. and Annavera (Ware) McBride, Sr. He had lived in Quapaw since 2008 moving from Picher, Okla. He had worked for Tri-State Asphalt in Picher, Okla. for many years and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by son, Joe Bob McBride, his parents, brother, Joe Hames and sister, Sandra Ainsworth.

Survivor include his wife Roberta (Mackin) Mc-Bride of the home, two sons, Everett “Skipper” McBride, III and wife LaChrista and Steven McBride and fiancé DeAnn Duggan all of Quapaw, Okla.; brother, Bill Hames of Commerce, Okla., 2 sisters, Sheila French of Miami, Okla. and Cheryl McKibben of Wyandotte, Okla.; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Monday, April 15 at United in Christ Church in Quapaw, Okla. Pastor Danny Brandon officiated. Interment was in Greenlawn Cemetery, southwest of Columbus. Kaydn Davis, Dalton Davis, Anthony Moreno, Josh Redden, Joe Arnold and Ryan Garrett served as pallbearers. Nathan Bagnell served as honorary pallbearer.
