Kenneth Jarman, 73, Welch, Okla.

Kenneth L. Jarman, 73, rural Welch, Okla., died at 4:06 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the University of Kansas Medical Center at Kansas City.

Born June 7, 1951 in rural Chetopa, Kenneth was the son of Everett Marvin and Revilla Jane “Doll” (Curnutte) Jarman. He was raised in the Chetopa and Bartlett area and attended rural schools. He graduated from Labette County High School with the Class of 1969 and continued living at Bartlett while he began working at Atlas Steel in Oswego. He later was employed at Sonoco Industries in Chetopa. He most recently worked at Peabody Tec Tank (now CST Storage) from 1989 until retiring in 2017.

In 1992 he moved to Mound Valley and later rural Welch, Okla. in 1993, where he was currently living.

He and Connie Testerman were united in marriage September 15, 1972 at the Bartlett United Methodist Church. They later divorced. He later married Patti M. Sparks in May 1992 at Miami, Okla.

He was a member of the Bartlett Christian Church. He enjoyed horseback riding, was an outdoorsman, and a houndsman. He was also an avid musician, loving to sing and play the guitar.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents Marvin and “Doll”, a step-son Mikey Faseler and one brother David Jarman.

Survivors include his wife Patti M. Jarman, of the home; four sons Jimmy Jay Jarman and his wife, Tiffany, of Parsons; Kenton Jarman and his wife, Holly, of Altamont; Douglas Jarman, and his wife, Tercya, of Parsons; Ben Jarman, of Lawrence; daughter Makayla Jarman, of rural Edna; twelve grandchildren and a set of twins on the way; two brothers Ronnie Jarman, of Bartlett and Donnie Jarman of Eureka Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 9 at the Bartlett Christian Church with Kenton Jarman officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to an education fund established for a granddaughter, Rylie Jaimez, at Labette Bank.
