Lane Clayton Dunbar, 17, of Commerce, Okla., died Monday, October 2, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin Mo Born July 20, 2006 in Miami, Okla. Lane was the son of Roy Thomas Dunbar and Cheryl Williams. He had lived in Commerce, Okla. all his life and was a junior at Commerce High School in Commerce, Okla.. He was a member of Commerce Community Church (C3) in Commerce, Okla.
Lane was preceded in death by a brother Trenton Dunbar, his parental grandparents, parental great grandparents and material great grandmother Julia Hopkins.
Lane is survived by his mother Cheryl Williams of the home, his father Roy Thomas Dunbar of Harrisonville, Mo.; five brothers, Jackson Dunbar of Baxter Springs, Johnathan Erwin of Corona, Ryan Dunbar of Miami, Okla., Caleb Erwin and Kutter Erwin of both of Commerce, Okla.; four sisters, Kaydence Dunbar of Baxter Springs, Kloie Erwin of Corona, Katelynn Erwin of Parsons, and Kasie Dunbar of Miami, Okla.; maternal grandmother Dara Williams of Commerce, Okla.; maternal great grandfather Mike Hopkins of North Miami, Okla.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 7 at Commerce High School Gymnasium in Commerce, Okla. Jason Shelton will officiate.
