Richard E. Saporito , 74, of Overland Park, died Sunday, September 24, 2023. Born in Pittsburg, Richard was the son of Louis and Josephine (Carpino) Saporito. They preceded him in death. Richard was also preceded in death by siblings, Mary Jean Martin, Frank Saporito and John Saporito. He was a graduate of Columbus Unified High School class of 1967.
Richard is survived by his wife Susan Saporito (Ferguson); his sons, Jimmy Saporito (Michelle) and Jeremy Saporito (Carmen); his grandchildren, Molly Saporito, Nate Saporito and Gianni Saporito; and his brother Tom Saporito.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 5 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.at the Ascension Catholic Church in Overland Park. A funeral mass will be held Friday, October 6 at 1 p.m. at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 109 E 9th St, Pittsburg.
