Ronald Lee “Ron” Heathman, 80, Miami, Okla., died Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo.
Born January 31, 1944 in Hannibal, Mo. Ron was the son of Lee and Loretta (Hill) Heathman. He had lived in Miami, Okla. since 1998 moving from Hannibal, Mo. Ron worked for General Mills in Hannibal, Mo. in the shipping department for many years and then was a truck driver for Burggraf Tire Company in Miami, Okla. He was a member of Northwest Baptist Church in Miami, Okla. and Faith Riders.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bobby Heathman and Roy Heathman and three sisters, Barbara Heathman, Sandra Heathman and Shirley Johnson.
Survivors include his wife Jolene (Sharbutt) Heathman of the home; four sons, Joseph Aaron Wilson and wife Candace of Baxter Springs and Timothy Neal Wilson of Riverton; Ronald Paul Heathman of Columbia, Mo.; Robert M. Wilson, III of Tulsa, Okla.; daughter, Susan Michelle Kremer and husband Matt of Jefferson City, Mo.; sister, Linda Heathman of Hannibal, Mo.; 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 30, at Northwest Baptist Church in Miami, Okla. Rev. Michael Knight officiated. Interment was in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Okla. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers were Joe Sharbutt, Tim Wilson, Paul Heathman, Bobby Wilson, Aaron Wilson, Joey Sharbutt, Josh Sharbutt and Jake Sharbutt.
