Rosemary Denton, 75, Owasso, Okla., died at 12:05 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2024, at her residence after a short illness.
She was born April 27, 1949, in Columbus. She had resided in Oklahoma since 1977, moving from Joplin, Mo. She was a retail clerk for the former Katz and Ben Franklin stores and Skaggs stores in Joplin, Mo. and Tulsa, Okla. before retiring in 1985.
She was of the Catholic faith. She belonged to the Harley Owners Group. She enjoyed gardening, loved to shop and crafting.
She and Doug Denton were united in marriage June 23, 1973, in Joplin, Mo. He survives.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Mary Saporito Babst and one sister Betty Jo Long.
Additional survivors include one brother: Bob Babst of Joplin, Mo.; a Cousin Nora Harper and several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
