Scott A. Wiseman, 60, Joplin, Missouri, died Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at The Communities of Wildwood where he has resided the past three years.
Born April 26, 1964 in Joplin, Mo., Scott was the son of Fredrick and Carol (Orcutt) Wiseman.
Growing up, Scott attended school at McAuley Catholic School and later went on to receive degrees in Computer Programming from Missouri Southern State University of Joplin and his master’s degree at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. Scott worked for the City of Kansas City Utilities Department prior to retiring due to health issues. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick ‘Rick’ Wiseman and a brother, Eric Wiseman.
Survivors include his mother, Carol Wiseman of Joplin, Mo.; brothers Noel Wiseman (Natalie) and Christopher Wiseman (Peggy), all of Joplin, Mo.; sisters, Rachel Goodrich (Michael) of Baxter Springs and Marissa Winnett (David) of Joplin, Mo.; Sister-in-law Candace Wiseman of Webb City, Mo. and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family also survive.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
