Shawndra Rachele Waits Clark, 44, Baxter Springs, died Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
Born Thursday, February 22, 1979 in Joplin, Mo, Shawnda was the daughter of Richard Waits and Deborah Kay Waits.
She graduated from Columbus High School with the class of 1997. Her family remembers her as being an amazing daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved her grandson fiercely, as well as her dogs Mo Money, and Lucy Lou.
Shawnda was was preceded in death by her father Richard Waits, mother-in-law Caroline Raye Rowton, great grandma Betty, and great grandpa William Dunlap.
Survivors include her mother Deborah Waits Smith; husband Dustin Clark; daughter Siarra Clark; grandson Heath; and her best friend Erin Coons.
Cremation arrangements are being handled by Derfelt Funeral Home of Columbus. The family will host a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help cover final expenses.
