Shirley Anne McMurry, 84, Carl Junction, Mo., died February 19, 2024 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin after an illness.
Born December 6, 1939, in Broken Arrow, Okla., Shirley was the daughter of Cecil and Wilrose Ingle. Shirley was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed reading, growing things, playing bingo and she loved her “facebook fans” and her cats.
Shirley and Claude “Mac” McMurry were united in marriage December 1, 1993. He preceded her in death November 3, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother William Robert Ingle.
Survivors include three children, Kirk Lawson and wife Mary Kay of Galena; Keith Lawson and wife Darlene, Okeechobee, Fla. and Kelli Brust and husband Jerry, Joplin, Mo.; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren also survive.
The body has been taken for cremation under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, Mo.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at the Seneca Cemetery, 2 p.m. Sunday, February 25.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Salvation Army or a Church of donor’s choice.
