Raymond John Swan, 75, Columbus, died unexpectedly Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg. Born March 29, 1948 in Chicago, Ill., Raymond was the son of Thomas and Roseleen Swan (nee Browne). He lived in Chicago until 1985 when he moved to Garden Grove, Calif.

James Dale Adams Sr., 56, Galena, died January 15, 2024 surrounded by family. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1967, he was a lifelong Galena area resident. A graduate from Riverton High School class of 1986, he joined the Army reserves during his junior year.

Christina L. “Chris” Hall, 62, rural Oswego, died unexpectedly Saturday, January 13, 2024. Born October 29, 1961 in Parsons, Christina L. Gatton was the daughter of Robert and Nola (Turner) Gatton. As a young girl, she grew up and attended school in Altamont. Chris loved her family.

Dale Lee Armstrong, 75, Joplin, Mo., died on January 11, 2024. Born September 20, 1948, in Florence, Dale was the son of Nelson Edward and Vella Dee Mc-Creery Armstrong. He was a graduate of Columbus High School with the class of 1966.

John T. Harris, 90, Columbus, formerly of Parsons, died at 3:53 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2024 at the Quaker Hill Skilled Nursing facility in Baxter Springs. His wife, Mona, preceded him in death on July 24, 2020.

Samuel Weaver, 84, Baxter Springs

Samuel Edward Weaver, 84, Baxter Springs, died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family Thursday, January 11, 2024 after a long battle with Parkinson’s and dementia. Born February 7, 1939 in his childhood home on Wyandotte St.
