Garden Plain (17-6), the number seven seed in the Kansas Class 2A State Tournament handed the undefeated St. Mary’s-Colgan Lady Panthers their first loss of the season, 39-26, in the first round of the tournament in Manhattan, Wednesday.
Smith Center (19-4), the sixth seed, knocked off the number three seed, Jackson Heights (22-1) to advance to the state semifinal today.
