The Central Junior High Titan Seventh Grade Basketball Team placed fifth in the final CCCJL Tournament, Monday in Baxter Springs. The Titans took wins over Galena and Frontenac in the consolation bracket to earn the fifth place distinction. The Central Titan Seventh Grade Basketball Team completed their season with a pair of wins in the consolation portion of the CCCJ League Tournament at Baxter Springs. Galena was the first to fall to the Titans, 41-18, followed by a 40-33, win over Frontenac.
Columbus went into the tournament as the seventh seed and took down the fifth and sixth seed to finish fifth in final tournament standings.
