The Columbus Titans opened their first modern era state tournament with a 5-4, win over Sabetha in the Kansas Class 3A State Baseball Tournament, Thursday, at Tionton Family Stadium on the campus of Kansas State University in Manhattan. The third seeded Titans (20-2) faced the sixth seed, Sabetha (15- 7) in the quarterfinal of the tournament between the top eight teams in the state.
