Members of the Baxter Springs 1985 Championship Baseball Team were represented at the Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony by Jody Adams, Kelly Gilbreath, Phillp Cook, Jeff Karnes, Paul Nixon, Curtis Williams, Doug Puckett, Rusty Spence and coaches Mike Cook and Don Karnes. Additional team members but not pictured included Sean Krokroskia, Kevin Judd, David Edmondson, Tim Mehaffy, Carl Boyd, Scott Madden, Mitchell Harrison, Bobby Arnall, Todd Weaver, Mike Minor, Chris Wene and Bill Buck.
Cole Howard, Titan Freshman, had a 23-yard kick off return in Friday’s loss in Frontenac, 0-22. The special teams were a bright spot for Columbus in Kansas Class 3A, District 1 contest.
Titan Senior, Syler Schuberger, ran this kick off back 31 yards to give Columbus good field position in their 0-22 loss to Frontenac, Friday, on the Raiders home field.
