Titans of the Week

The Columbus Titan Jazz Band completed a major project for their first semester assignment by hosting an entertaining “Now Showing” performance for the school and community. They are being recognized as Titans of the Week.

Fall activities seniors recognized

Lady Titan Senior, Madelyn Garcia, was recognized during Senior Night ceremonies at Titan Stadium, October 13. Madelyn is four-year member of the Titan Dance Team, the Titan Cheer Squad, and the Titan Band. She was escorted by her parents Eric and Melissa Garcia.

Time to register for Titan CC 5K, fun run

Pre-registration is underway for the Columbus Titan Cross Country Team Run Run Rudolph 5K run and one mile fun run, December 9. The event is part of the Get Fit 5K Series and will kick off at City Park Pavilion. The 5K run/walk will begin at 7 a.m.

Titans of the Week

Four Titan Juniors and a sophomore were named to the All-CNC League honors lists released by league officials. Carter Henry, Jace Midgett, Jett Tanner, Jack Vilela, and Syler Schuberger are being recognized as Titans of the Week.

Henry, Midgett first team picks

Titan Juniors, Carter Henry and Jace Midgett were recently selected to the All-CNC League First Team as unanimous selections at offensive line and wide receiver. Carter was also chosen second team defensive line. Sophomore, Jett Tanner, was listed as All-CNC League Second Team line backer.

CJHS hosts mixer

Columbus Junior High Wrestling hosted a fourteam mixer with Independence, Labette County and Seneca Mo., Thursday, at the CUHS Gymnasium. Columbus earned 26 wins with just 12 losses on the night and the Lady Titans swept all seven of their matches.

2023 Titan Seniors recognized

The Titan Junior High Wrestling Team split a double dual at Pittsburg, Monday. Columbus beat Fort Scott, 50-42, and lost to Pittsburg, 78-24. Will Weber, Denver Hughes, Jayden Dohle, and Kash Smith won both of their matches in a challenging night of wrestling for the Titans.

Lady Titans mid season flurry

The Columbus Lady Titan Junior High Basketball Team has had a busy week on the courts with game Monday through Wednesday. The St. Mary’s-Colgan Lady Panthers came to Columbus, Monday, and took a three-game win over the Lady Titan Junior High School Basketball Team.

Seniors win powder-puff game

The senior powder puff team won the annual contest held at Titan Stadium. Team members and coaches are front row: Grace Noel, Lizzy Welch, Katie Simpson, Brooklyn Lima, Presley Tedlock, Suzan Crowe, Harley Long, and Madi Garcia.

Titans, Lady Titans fourth in invitational

The Columbus Junior High School Boys and Girls Wrestling Teams placed fourth in the Columbus Invitational, Saturday, at the CUHS Gymnasium.
