Lady Chargers dominate fourth in win

The Cherryvale Lady Chargers weren’t taking any chances with their 39-28 lead going into the fourth quarter. The visitors poured in 28, fourth quarter points, five three pointers, to secure their win over the hometown Lady Titans, 67-41, Tuesday, at the CUHS Gymnasium.

JV-C Teams in action at Southeast

The Columbus Titan Junior Varsity and C Teams took the court at Cherokee for a two quarters of junior varsity and four C Team quarters, Friday in Cherokee. The Lancers got the best of their visitor in junior varsity action, 27-19.

Titans split double dual

The Columbus Titans traveled to Girard for their first double dual of the season, Thursday. They came away with a split, taking a win over their hosts, 42-30, before falling to Frontenac, 34-46.

Lancers schedule final week updates

Southeast is hosting Liberal, Mo. tonight at Cherokee. The junior varsity boys will play four quarters in the West (old) Gym followed by four quarters of boys C Team action. The varsity girls and boys will be in the East Gym beginning at 6 p.m.

Lady ballers even record

The Columbus Lady Titans Basketball Team evened their record, 1-1, Thursday night with a 5450, win over Liberal, Mo. at the CUHS Gymnasium. The teams were evenly matched as they battled through each of the eightminute periods.

Lady Titans win Girard dual

The Columbus Lady Titans breezed to a dual win, 42-18, over their host, Girard Lady Trojans, Thursday, in Girard. Columbus won the dual with just three forfeits and giving up no open slots. A second dual schedule with Frontenac was scratched when the Lady Raiders did not make the trip to Girard.

Balance scoring keeps Titans winning

The Columbus Titans continued to use a balanced attack to move to 3-0 for the 2022-23 basketball season with a 57-41 win over the Southeast Lancers, Friday night in Cherokee. The Titans used their charity stripe early and often, scoring 18 from the free throw line.

CUHS dominates Missouri squad

The Titan Boys’ Basketball Team dominated the first four minutes of the varsity game with Liberal, Mo., Thursday night, at the CUHS Gymnasium. The Titans scored nine unanswered points to start the game before Liberal was able to put points on the scoreboard.

Eddington, Newberry third at Arkansas tourney

Titan Senior, Jake Eddington and sophomore, Korbyn Newberry took third place at the Bentonville West, Arkansas Tourney to lead Columbus in the multi-state event. The field of 15 teams always proves tough competition for the local grapplers.

Lady Titans Bentonville Champs

The Columbus Lady Titan Wrestling Team swept into the Bentonville West Tournament, Friday, and came away with a championship out of the four-state and 13-team event. Columbus scored 292 points with 14 lady wrestlers to win the title over Springdale, Ark. With 256.5 points from 14 wrestlers.
