Junior High girls prep for post season

The Columbus Junior High School Girls Basketball Teams are preparing for the post season tournament to be held next week and will round out their regular season schedule tonight, St, Mary’s-Colgan will be in Columbus for two games, due to a shortage of players caused by the Williamsburg Trip.

Panthers take JV win in Columbus

The St. Mary’s-Colgan Panthers cruised to a 52-17 win over the Columbus Titans at the Central Elementary School Gymnasium, Friday. The Panther used consistent scoring throughout the game after taking an early 11-2 lead. The visitors improved their advantage, 24-6, by halftime.

Height, experience win girls first game

The St. Mary’s-Colgan Lady Panthers used their height and experience against a young Lady Titan team to take a 65-34 win, Friday in the CUHS home opener. Colgan’s main offense was to pass into junior, Lily Brown or senior, Lauren Torrance’s outstretched arms.

Titans cage Panthers in home opener

The Columbus Titan Varsity Boys’ Basketball Team took a 49-34 win over St. Mary’s-Colgan in their season home opener, Friday, at the CUHS Gymnasium. Titan Senior, Landin Midgett, scored the first seven points of the game to give the home team a strong, 7-0, start.

Wildcat quiz bowl reserve national champs

The Wildcat 4-H Quiz Bowl Team traveled to the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) in Louisville, Kentucky on November 15 for the contest. The team returned home as Reserve National Champions!

Titan Basketball introduced, season opener tonight vs. Colgan

Columbus Titan Head Coach, Jerry Smiley and assistant coach, Taylor Spear introduced the members of the 2022-23 Titan Team at the Annual Titan Booster Club Meet the Titans for the winter sports season.

Wrestlers in action tonight

The Columbus Lady Titans and the Junior Varsity Titans open their season tonight with matches in the Kan-Okla. Tournament hosted by Caney Valley High School. Today’s action will begin at 3 p.m. for both the girls and junior varsity boys tournament.

Lady Titans picked second in KWCA preseason poll

The CUHS Lady Titan Wrestling Team is ranked second in the Kansas Class 4-1A pre-season polling announced by the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association, November 23.
