Titans defeat Lions in regular season finale

The Columbus Mini Titan Fifth and Sixth Grade Football Team finished up their undefeated regular season, 6-0, October 22 with a 44-8 win at Baxter Springs. The junior Lions started the game with the ball, but the Titan defense forced them to punt.

Columbus to host super bowl

The Super Bowl bound Columbus Mini Titan Fifth and Sixth Grade Football Team has been selected to host the SEK League Youth Football Championship, tomorrow, at Titan Stadium.

Titan playoff moved

There will be no Columbus Titan vs. Galena Bulldog Kansas Class 3A Regional Football game tonight as the contest was moved to last night due to impending weather. Columbus and Galena Schools agreed to the Thursday night change with the likely hood of rain forecast for today.

Galena advances in 3A state football playoffs

The Galena Bulldogs (7-2) advanced in the Kansas Class 3A Football Playoffs after defeating Anderson County, 38-13, in bidistrict play. The Bulldogs will host Columbus (4-5) after the Titans demolished Burlington, 46-8, in their first round game.

Four CNC League Teams entered the Kansas Class 3A Football Playoffs, Friday night, one represented the league in the Kansas Class 2A playoffs and another in the Class 1A playoff bracket.

Colgan misses final four cut

The St. Mary’s-Colgan Lady Panthers won one match at the Kansas Class 2A State Volleyball Tournament, Friday, in Dodge City but failed to advance to the final four, semi-final bracket, Saturday. The CNC League representative entered the tournament as the number eight seed with a 23-16 record.
