Riverton seventh at Lancer Classic

The Riverton Rams came back from a pair of close losses to win the seventh place game over McAuley, 62-31, Saturday, in Southeast High School’s 30 th Lancer Classic Tournament.

Thursday girls games at Classic

The Lancer Classic Girls Tournament continued, Thursday, at Southeast High School. Riverton began the day with a 41-21 win over Southeast in the consolation bracket. College Heights won game two over Baxter Springs, 44-39.

Southeast Lady Lancers lose two

The Southeast Lady Lancers lost their first two rounds in the Lancer Classic Basketball Tournament, Monday and Thursday in Cherokee. Seeded number eight in the tournament based on current record, the Lady Lancers were matched with the number one seed, McAuley Lady Warriors, in the first round.

Lady Rams take fifth at Southeast

The Riverton Lady Rams shot 9-of-25 at the free throw line in their opening round against Erie to lose at the end of the game by only four points, 33-29.

Lady Titans take third in Classic

The Columbus Lady Titans placed third in the 2022 Southeast Lancer Classic Tournament with a win over McAuley, 47-33. The Lady Titans got off to an early lead, 10-8, on the strength of sophomore, Graci Major’s, five, first quarter points.

Lady Lancer girls All-Tourney Team

Baxter Springs Lady Lion Senior, Emmalee Williams and Riverton Lady Ram Junior, Jacy Thomasson, represented the CNC League on the 30th Lancer Classic 2022 Girls All-Tournament Team. Lady Lancer Freshman, Teagan Warner, was also named to the list of honorees.

Hodgson, Estep win Bass Club title

Titans Lancer Classic Champs

The Columbus Titans ended an 11-year draught in the Southeast Lancer Classic Basketball Tournament with a championship win over College Heights, 38- 32, Saturday, in Cherokee. The Titans last win came in 2011.

Titan knock-off Erie in the tourney semi-final

The Columbus Titans knocked off the unbeaten, Erie Red Devils, to secure a spot in the championship game of the Southeast Lancer Classic Basketball Tournament, with a 46-43 win, Friday in Cherokee.

Lancer All-Tournament boy’s team

Titan Juniors, Brett Hamilton and Kolt Ungeheuer, were named to the nine-man, 2022 All-Tournament Team, following the conclusion of the 30th Lancer Classic Tournament, Saturday.
