Lady Lions ready for post season

The Lady Lions put themselves into a deep hole in their volleyball dual at Girard, Tuesday night. In a best of five matches, they lost the first set 25-13, and the second set 25-12. Needing a set win to stay alive in the dual.

The Southeast Lady Lancers were 1-1 in a Triangular with Columbus at St. Mary’s-Colgan, Tuesday in their final regular season matches before tomorrow’s Kansas Class 2A Sub-State Tournament in Pittsburg.

CUHS posts more wins in successful week on courts

The CUHS Lady Titans posted four wins to take third place in the St. Mary’s-Colgan Tournament, Saturday, in Pittsburg. Columbus started in the hole against Oswego after losing the first set, 24-26. But the Lady Titans rebounded to win the match in threes sets, 27-25; 25-17.

Baxter Springs Volleyball splits triangular at Frontenac

The Baxter Springs Lady Lions split their two, triangular matches, losing in three sets to their host, Frontenac. 25-13; 22-25; 24-26 and winning in two sets against Columbus, 25- 21; 25-17, October 12 The first two sets were split with the Lady Raiders and Baxter Springs.

The Lady Lions split a triangular volleyball meet in Pittsburg at St-Mary’s Colgan, Thursday. The Baxter Springs defense limited the Oswego Lady Indians to eight points in the two sets, 25-6; 25-2 and lost to their hosts, 25- 13; 25-21.
