Titan JV 1-2 in Mickey Mantle Classic Tourney

Titans Junior Varsity lost by one run in a close game one against Grove, Oklahoma Junior Varsity as time expired during the opening round of the Mickey Mantle Classic Tournament, April 10, in Miami, Oklahoma.

Epler signs to play baseball at KCKCC

Webb City Cardinal Senior, Cohen Epler signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his baseball career with Kansas City Kansas Community College Blue Devil Team this fall.The official signing took place at Webb City High School last fall during national signing day.

Titan Junior Varsity splits home games with Galena

The Columbus Titan Junior Varsity split their CNC League home games, Tuesday, against Galena. A late run in the top of the fourth inning gave the Titans a 5-4 win in game one but the Bulldogs recovered and mauled their hosts, 163, in the night cap.

CJHS Seventh Boys second at Riverton

The Columbus Junior High Seventh Grade Boys took second and the eighth grade boys placed third in the Riverton Relays, April 10.The Titan Seventh Grade Boys scored 92 team points, with Blaze Bowman leading the way by taking first in the long jump and the 100 Meter Hurdles.

Smith third at Baxter Springs

Columbus Senior, Kanyen Smith, repeated his third place finish in the second of six CNC League Meets on the 2025 Titan Golf Schedule. Kanyen took third place in the Baxter Springs Invitational Tournament, Monday, after placing third in the Frontenac Invite last week.

Ediger collects 26Ks in double header

Lady Titan Senior, Hailey Ediger tossed 26 strike outs, handed out two walks, while the Lady Titan Defense allowed one run on 14 hits in the double header wins over the Lady Bulldogs, Monday, in Galena.Columbus got the shut out, 8-0, in game one and won game two, 6-1.
Members of the Columbus Recreation Lady Titans Basketball League were introduced at the Titan Basketball Games in February. The fourth grade team consists of Julia Baker, Shay Webb, Jaycee Rodriguez, Kree Saporito, Adelyn Midgett, and Ruby Ellis. The team is coached by Chet Saporito, Clint Ellis, and Brian Midgett (not pictured). Team members unable to attend the introduction ceremony are: Riley Carson, Rylie Spear, Remy Schuberger, Elle Jessee, McKenzie Leonard, Oakley Hamilton, and Deklyn Roberts.

The hit was Kash’s second grand slam of the game, tying a state record for most grand slams in one game. A single in the fourth inning gave Smith a total of nine Runs-Batted-In in the 14-1 win over the Bulldogs in Galena, Monday. Columbus completed the sweep with a 10-0 win in game two.

Titan Kash Smith tied a state record when he crushed two grand slam home runs over the fence in his first varsity start at Galena, Monday. The freshman slugger sent the ball over the fence in the first and third innings. He also had a single in the fourth inning for a total of nine Runs-Batted- In.

Carpino wins second Junior High tournament

Cali Carpino, Columbus Junior High School Eighth Grader, won her second tournament in as many outings with her top girls scorecard in the Pittsburg Golf Tournament, Monday, at the Four Oaks Golf Course.
