The Columbus Lady Titans got a big win over the Baxter Springs Lady Lions on their home court, Friday, 45-12. A slow start in the first quarter gave way to a domination on both offense and defense by Columbus.

The Baxter Springs Lions crept into Columbus and snagged a win from the Columbus Titans, Friday, 60-38.A buzzer beater at the end of the first quarter by sophomore, Caleb Grant set the tone for the remainder of the game for the visiting Baxter Springs Lions.

Girls Lancer Classic bracket starts Tuesday

The girls bracket of the 33rd Annual Lancer Classic Tournament will begin Tuesday at Southeast High School in Cherokee. The first game will be the number one seed, Neodesha, matched against the number eight seed, Parsons at 4 p.m.

Titans begin Lancer Classic Monday

The Columbus Titans will kick off the 33rd Annual Lancer Classic, Monday, in the 4 p.m. game. The Titans are seeded eighth and drew Riverton, the number one seed, as their opponent.In the 5:30 p.m. matchup, the four and five seeds, New Heights Christian Academy and Neodesho be in action.

Frontenac Brawl PM Session

Four Titan Mini Wrestlers took first place in the PM Session of the 16th Annual Frontenac Youth Brawl for the Columbus Wrestling Club, in the six and under, 10 and under, and 14 and under age divisions.

CJHS 8th drops two in jamboree

The Columbus Junior High School hosted a jamboree, Saturday, at the Central School Campus. The eighth grade A team suffered a pair of losses to their guests, New Heights Christian Academy, 55-12, and Northeast-Arma, 35-27.

Natalini wins Ozark Open

Columbus Wrestler, Lucas Natalini, made a trip to Ozark, Missouri, Saturday, where he brought back first place in the ten and under, 85-pound weight class at the Ozark Youth Wrestling Open Tournament. He was the lone member of the Titan Wrestling Club participating in the event.
