Lady Titan Sophomore, Hannah Noel, took first place in the Bentonville West Invitational Girls Wrestling Tournament, Friday, in Centerton, Ark. Noel received one by on her way to the championship and took the title match in a 9-7 decision.

Smith wins Arkansas Tournament

Titan Freshman, Kash Smith, led the Columbus Titan Wrestling Team to a sixth place finish in the Bentonville West Invitational, Saturday, with 11 wrestlers scoring 99 team points in a field of 15 teams.

Hutto has double falls on home mat

Adalynn Hutto, Lady Titan Freshman, won both matches on the mat in the first home triangular of her high school career, Thursday, at the CUHS Gym. She had the lone win that was not a forfeit in the 42--18 team win over Girard and won her match against Frontenac.

Free throws were a game changer in the Columbus Lady Titans 26-22 win over Southeast, Friday in Cherokee. Columbus edged their host, Lady Lancers, 26-22, in the 2024 M0-Can Classic Basketball tournament.

The Columbus Titans will be playing Liberal, Mo. in the Mo-Kan Classic Tournament Saturday after losing to Southeast, 49-62, Monday, in the first game of the tourney at New Heights (College Heights) Christian School, Joplin, Mo.

Thirteen Columbus Titan Band Students were selected by live audition to the Southeast Kansas Music Educators Association District Band. They are being recognized as Titans of the Week.

Britt wins at Kan-Okla Tournament

Lady Titan Senior, Emily Britt, opened her 2024 campaign with a win in the 140-weight class of the Caney Valley Kan-Okla Wrestling Tournament, Friday night in Caney.The ten Lady Titans competing in the first tournament of the season tied for seventh in team standings with 83 points.

Panthers win JV opener over Titans

The St. Mary’s-Colgan Panthers took the 2024 home opener win, 67-25, over the host Columbus Titans, Friday at the Central School Gym.Columbus scoring was consistent, but there just wasn’t enough of it against a high scoring opponent.
