Large turnout at the Columbus Chamber ‘Trunk-or-Treat’

Hundreds of citizens recently showed up in Columbus over the weekend. A Halloween Walk and Trunk-Or-Treat event was held along Pine Street on the square during the holiday, thanks to the Columbus Chamber of Commerce’s efforts and resources.

Leslie Minor and her husband, Columbus Firefighter, James Minor, help serve Chicken and Noodles at the Malachi Brown fundraiser in Baxter Springs. Over 700 meals were served.

VFW dinner for veterans Friday

A baked ham dinner will be served Friday, November 12, at the Columbus VFW post 1372 beginning at 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. All veterans and their spouses may eat free. All others are welcome with a donation of $7.
The menu will include baked ham, roasted potatoes, green beans and dinner roll.

We made it through another month and might I add it was a very good one.
Of course, the minute we changed the calendar to October we are looking forward to the Columbus Day Celebration. We were not disappointed this year. The weather was great and a great attendance.
