Regional ‘Aging with ‘Attitude Expo’ set for April 29, April 30

People sometimes act like getting older is the worst thing in the world, but it certainly doesn’t have to be. There are plenty of reasons to be celebrate older age, live life to the fullest, and have a good time along the way.

We are a few weeks into this year’s Walk Kansas program, which promotes physical activity over an 8-week course. While the basis of the program is staying active, an additional key to the program is logging the amount of water participants consume daily.

Soldiers, wars, adventures, and much more would have any reader very interested. After reading Caminar by Skila Brown, I have learned alot about the Culture that is set in Guatemala. I would like to tell you about this book based upon Guatemalan Culture. The protagonist’s name in my book is Carlos.

Columbus Public Library Hours

The library will be open to the public, with a five person limit, Mondays 3 p.m.-6 p.m. Tuesdays 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursdays 8 a.m.-11 a.m. Browsing, computer appointments and curbside will be available Wednesdays 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursdays 4 p.m.-6 p.m. Fridays 8 a.m.-noon.

Baxter Springs Kiwanis Club gives bikes away at egg hunt

Baxter Springs Kiwanis Club had a large turnout at their Easter egg hunt Saturday, April 3. Remington Walker, 9, of Galena was a winner of one of the bicycles given away as a special prize.

Columbus museum re-opens to visitors

We removed the closed sign from the door on March 23, 2021. Did we shout with joy? Yes, we did and we hope we never have to put it back up. We have it handy just in case. We still use a lot of Lysol spray, Clorox wipes, and Lysol All Purpose Cleaner.

Southeast Elementary cooks Tammie Taylor

Southeast Elementary cooks Tammie Taylor, Tammy Richey, and Tasha Taylor made special cupcakes for all of the students at the elementary school as an Easter treat. Each cupcake was carefully decorated in a variety of festive colors.

Highland Elementary students gathered around the playground to cheer on their teachers. The teachers were hunting for Easter eggs much to the delight of their students. Highland Elementary held the reverse hunt Thursday.
