Anew program intended to encourage physical activity and healthy eating among Columbus children will be offered beginning April 6 at the county extension office, 124 W Country Road, in Columbus and nearby locations.

Spaghetti fundraiser at FUMC

A spaghetti dinner fundraiser is planned by the First United Methodist Church. For a suggested donation of $8, diners will receive spaghetti, salad, dessert and a drink. The dinner will be held Wednesday, April 12 from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the church located at 320 W. Maple.

Harold Shideler received his 65 year membership pin and certificate in the AF&AM lodge Tuesday, March 21. Tom Circle, Secretary of Parsons AF&AM #117, presented these to Shideler at his home. There were 15 family members present for the occasion. Shideler became a member of the McCune AF&AM # 232 in 1958. He transferred to Parsons when McCune closed.
